I don't think lemmy.ml is accepting new users currently. Choose another instance (server) from the recommended ones at https://join-lemmy.org/instances
It doesn't really matter much which one, you will still be able to interact with communities across different instances.
@awdsns if i may ask how do you know they are not accepting new accounts?
That's how I interpret the post pinned to their front page asking users to go somewhere else: https://lemmy.ml/post/1147770
Whether or not they have signups disabled,
lemmy.mlisn't a good instance to sign up for. It's the biggest, and is "too big" for the hardware available to the admins, as described in https://lemmy.ml/post/1147770. Join-lemmy.org has other options. Good choices have 100 to 1000 active users. Above 1k active users and you're at the leading edge of being on one of the biggest Lemmy instances that has ever existed and are in danger of experiencing lag and other performance problems as people continue to pile on.@PriorProject yeah I joined with some other instance already.
