Thoughts on async PAM in Plasma-Login-Manager?
What does everyone think about changing the authentication system in to support modern authentication methods such as FIDO and multi-step MFA?

I have a refactor pending that splits Pam session steps so we can focus on auth.
Hopefully long term we can make something shared for all password prompt usages; but maybe it's on us to prototype something first.
Having the option to call it on all password prompts would be great, I'm happy to help with testing (you don't want my code), I have a few different PAM modules I can try.
