Depends on who you ask.

I'm not religious at all, but I've always thought of spirits were the ghosty things that some people claim to see/sense/detect. Then souls are some sort of ephemeral...thing(?) that lives on without you after death.

Within me, my soul is the immutable part of me that is me, and will always be me regardless of what happens to me.

Spirit is the way that part of me connects to others, like a fog of energy that can form connections and communicate on that level.

I don't follow any specific spiritual or religious doctrine.

oh so spirit deals with connection that we make with people and soul is what make us ourselves?? Am I right??

I dunno about anyone else, that's my understanding of me.

It helps me make sense of others but I'd never tell anyone else what language or meaning to make of these things.

I suggest you get as many perspectives as possible and find the one that makes sense to you, or perhaps use them to formulate your own
