I realize it may seem hard, but if you make yourself strictly available on Signal, over time, your contacts on Signal do grow. Because that's where you're available. And you don't make yourself available in other platforms. People want to talk to you. Be available and a good experience to talk to on Signal. My Signal contacts are now nearing triple digits, and it's fantastic.

My job uses WhatsApp for staff messaging. My boss will not switch off it.

I only use WhatsApp for work.

I mean our stuff isn’t confidential. It’s a group chat with our maintenance workers to go and fix/clean things. 🤷‍♂️

While I hate WhatsApp on principle, it’s the primary form of communication in a shocking number of countries. Last place i saw it used like this was Costa Rica.
