Absolutely and completely unnecessary...

It's gonna be awesome, but 15 mill an episode is insane and it could be just as good for a third of that price.

The monopolization of media gives us these big budget bland shows designed to appeal to everyone, when we could have 3-5 different shows all going after different demographics for the same price.

We need more variety, not more blockbusters

Pluribus has a reported budget of $15 million per episode, five times more than what the average Breaking Bad cost.

I had to wonder what that money is being spent on. The article goes on to say that cost is less than House of the Dragon or Rings of Power, but those shows both have a bunch of CG.

Maybe Pluribus has bunch of CG but based on the trailers I wouldn't expect it.

Having seen episode 2, there certainly is CGI (the really big plane), and it's not "on the nose" which to me is a very good thing

I used to half-jokingly say what would really be good would be a Better Call Kim spin-off. This all honestly sounds even better!
