This has been an ongoing gag in my DnD group for months now. If your character does something dumb and awkward, they shoot themselves and an identical copy of themselves show up and carry on.
This doesn't actually occur in the plot, but we narrate it happening anyways.

like a deer caught in headlights, pauses
from squeezing a squirting tube of mayo
directly into his own gaping mouth.

The Joker turns to Eric and smiles, "you're exactly how they made you".
Eric pulls out a bat and immediately starts smashing the table:
