The FIA confirms Ricciardo has gone to a local hospital for checks after his crash
In an additional post Medland says: It appears Ricciardo's arm was in a sling after leaving the medical centre.

What happened? We had a tornado hit nearby last night so no power or home internet to watch this morning’s session.
Either he decided he didn’t want to t-bone Piastri who had just crashed and parked his car in the proverbial wall or he had a similar slip as Piastri and crashed. Having seen how much he breaked, I think it’s the first.

He slid off the track and into the wall, gripping the wheel during the collision.
He avoided hitting Piastri, who had already crashed, the only way he could, by hitting the wall. It was hard to watch, you knew it was coming watching on tv, but Ricciardo couldn't see until it was too late.
He hand/wrist seemed quite painful.
