When I was looking for a job the state run employment agency wanted to force me to make a linkedin profile even though I told them that I am being stalked by an ex and generally don’t do social media. They ultimately threatend to cut my aid if I don’t make a profile. A profile on a private website that does not respect user privacy nor data protection laws.
Luckily I found a new position before that fight escalated, but it still infuriates me thinking back to it.

Yeah, in that sense. I can get it. Boils down too....some people are just dicks
I don't understand posting at all on it except for job openings. honestly its annoying job openings get buried in peoples bullshit.
