I think no matter how you slice it you could work the stats to go your way on that, but the main point is the French were like a pretty unstoppable land power for 500 years, had 2 bad decades in the 1900s and never lived it down somehow

Once every couple months they'll gather in a polite group and say "please stop doing Human Rights Abuses" before carefully cleaning up and going back to work the next day in order to not be too big of an inconvenience.

Fun fact: the m16 has a pew-pew-pew mode for three rounds, but ours accepted only 20- and 50-round mags. (If I remember right)
