If its not free is it really open to all the public?
Depends on the wealth distribution of the public. But yes ticket prices can exazerbate social injustices. Nobody should be going to jail for not being able to pay for a ticket and transportation is a necessity for everyone.
I understand the sentiment but there's folks who ain't got fare money. So if anyone's so concerned they should run their fare card twice 😜
