And why the weird fixation with Charlie Kirk, when there are actual innocents dead?

I have no idea, especially when Kirk was just taking one for the team according to his own words

"I think it's worth it. I think it's worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights." Charlie Kirk (April 5th, 2025)

"... to protect our other God-given rights."

It fucking annoys me to no end when religious fakers spout off shit like this. God never gave 'rights' to people. He instead told believers how they should act (Matt. 22: 36-40).

Exactly. Can those idiots find the Bible passage that tells 'every yokel should be allowed to own a gun'? Nope. Ergo: No "God-given" right. Except when they see the creators of the 2nd amendment as gods worshiped by the gun-nuts.

It just adds a little extra sparkle that this is coming from a chick from Hell, lol 😆

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horst-Wessel-Lied

Horst Wessel was a Nazi street fighter. He died in an argument with his landlady. He owed rent and she'd asked some local boys to be at the meeting. Turns out the locals were Communists. The Nazi Party turned Horst into a martyr and made the song about him the Party anthem.

Kirk was just lucky enough to publicly catch a bullet.

Propaganda/Manufacturing Consent for crimes.

And Kirk knew like every republican megadonor (they all funded him). Many own or run media sites.

But yeah its exactly what a lot of media did for the leadup to the iraq war, by many of the same people (Tucker carlson for instance)

About one mass shooting every 20 hours and 24 minutes. And this is before the USA starts fighting itself in earnest.

seeing as that the last one was prolly the last mass shooting of 2025, every day that average will increase until its less than one a day

Yes please.

There are so many idiots here. It's really hard to tell if someone is kidding or an right-wing / fascist / asshole / dumbfuck /whatever for real.

okie doke :)

hmm

i really remember not having to do that like maybe 3 or 4 years ago but maybe people just always felt I was hopelessly ignorant

Okay, this looks bad, but… have you thought about gun makers? Their livelihood and family depends on selling guns. What will happen with little Timmy when Mr. Warmonger can’t bring bread to the table anymore?

Those people died so the little Timmy Warmongers of the world could live! Think of the children, people!

35

Sure, those headlines are rough, but let's zoom in on the real tragedy: a tear running down the cheek of the CEO of Freedom Arms, Inc. His yachts might have to skip their annual polish! How will little Timmy tell his private school friends his dad can only afford a single pony this year? People, the economy is suffering! Think of the quarterly profits!

Since it's only October, it's already more than once a day.

14

We're only 286 days into the year though, so we're already well above once a day average so far, as long as people keep the violence up we're basically guaranteed to hit it by end of year. I'm so deeply tired of this world I can't even muster up any particular sarcasm for this milestone.

11

Im more concerned with the state sponsored shooting that is ok for some reason. Holy shit that guy is driving away!!! Kill him dead! kill him dead!

12

Right on schedule I guess /s

Someone posted a tweet that said that republicans are quick to blame Tylenol for autism, but can't do the same when its about gun violence and guns.

10

I'm sure sending in more unidentified masked ICEstapo into urban areas to disappear people, including 15 year old girls, to who knows where will solve it!

3

Let's find out how many of them are left leaning...just for funsies. I have a solid 20, there are VERY few.

i think usually the mass shootings definition excludes a lot of these, and usually means a more indiscriminate mass shooting… like a kid shooting random kids at a school….
maybe the looser definition is more useful and we should have another term for the indiscriminate mass shootings….
actually charlie kirk was shot while making a “point” about that….
“oh well do you include gang violence?”.

as if gang violence isn’t also an issue with gun control….

1

“talking points” is a dumb way to end conversations… not everyone who considers different angles is an alt-right shill….
but i do think we need a different term for people who just snap and shoot random people vs people who shoot back at people

sure would be neat if communities had the sovereignty to decide whether or not to allow weapons

you know instead of the system we have with the giant slave empire that ruins everything for everyone with nonsense laws and militarized cops
