Fuck ancestry! When they started charging people to access the very data that they 'allowed' them to enter free, they lost all credibility in my eyes.

It makes doing anything a pain. I’m lucky enough to have access to ancestry access at my local library but I despise their company and practices. Their prices are insane and they lock people out of this hobby.

I personally prefer archives to offer access to records for free (like most of the church archives do in Austria), but I'd rather see an archive charge a small fee for the access than Ancestry.com fucking that archive over.
