This is the most British thing I've read in a while.
Why is the UK charging VAT on school fees? A 22% year on year price raise is mental.
VAT is a tax on luxury goods. Private schools are a luxury. It's been mental that they've got away with not being taxed for so long.
On private school fees ... state schools are free.
