Or is it just Donald trying to manipulate the information sphere?
You know, like he always does.
Secondly: "be scared" sounds like bad click bait, what did Donald do, not what he said is important.
It's a memorandum used to explicitly dictate executive branch national security policy. It doesn't guarantee that it will actually happen but it is much more than just an offhanded comment on a hot mic or a line from a speech.
The biggest failure of those who oppose Trump and his goons is to assume they're clowns making fart noises in the corner. They might be idiots, but they are idiots with real power, near-total access to the military apparatus and law enforcement, and these words are marching orders.
Donald Trump is a buffoon waving a gun around, and his cadre of sycophants know how to convince him to pull the trigger.
Trump issued a national security directive to the national security council commanding them to stop investigations into actual terrorists (most of whom support him,) and start investigating “anti-Christian” and “unamerican” people.
This includes atheists, and Muslims and anyone who actively expresses non belief.
It also includes people who support science-based healthcare, advocate for addressing climate change, and oppose fascism.
Basically, Trump is using “anti-Christian” as a dog whistle for anyone who would be politically opposed to him being a fucking dictator.
Is “be scared” clickbait-y? Sure. But he’s also using your (presumed) lack of belief as justification for locking you into a very deep, very dark hole.
That's it. The problem is that the words "extremist," "extremism," and "anti-Christian" will mean whatever they want them to mean.
