Ask yourself this, do you truly want people to become more progressive, or do you just want to feel morally superior by yelling at people who don't meet your standards?
American liberals are just trying to do the bare minimum of fighting fascism, and even that is a monumental task. Political infighting in the American left only helps conservatives. By the time you are done yelling at liberals, there will no longer be a country that has any shot at adopting 'real leftist' ideologies.
