First time stringing test. The headstock joint holds up so far, but the instrument makes strange horror movie noises.
I'll record a sound sample as soon as the strings have settled.

Very cool! Are you keeping it or selling? Do you play early music?
This one I consider a prototype, so I'll keep it to see how it holds up long-term. It's a copy of the Wartburg castle gittern, the only surviving (real) gittern.
Sooner or later I'll have to sell some instruments, or I'll run out of space in my home. ; ) But I have no idea how to go about that, honestly.
As for actually playing - since I have a day job, I have to pick and choose between making instruments and actually playing them.
