I talk to the cats like they understand and sometimes it helps. Today I had to strip the bed to clean, and told mother's cat the process. She only hissed once! Which is much better than her flipping out. She calmed down once the bed was remade and her blanket was back where it should be. She's forgiven me.

I got more ravens than crows where I am, is wild but I absolutely talk to them still. They make awesome noises
One of the locations I go to has a lot of crows. I throw them pieces of my sandwich and talk back to them when they caw at me. 😂
So a local crow has been trying to mimic the local cat's calls for food. He's getting better, but the pitch is off.
