Major Reddit communities will go dark to protest threat to third-party apps
Glad to see so many popular subreddits hopping on board. I honestly don't know what kind of actual impact it will have.

It might lead to some users going to different sites like Lemmy, Mastodon, or Kbin. I've seen them recommended in some Reddit threads about subs going dark. Hopefully communities will rebuild outside of Reddit.
