Man, on the one hand, having flying cars would be freaking cool. But on the other hand, I know the average person is absolutely not responsible enough to take proper care of it, and many more not capable of flying without crashing into a building or something. So it's still going to be relegated to the wealthy for the foreseeable future.

How is this a car?

We have flying cars already. They’re called helicopters.

They’re not widely used because flying is hard and extremely dangerous, and thus requires a ton of extensive training and licensing which also makes it very expensive.

We will never ever reach a “Jetsons” point where everyone is just flying around their own little sedans.
