Originally orcas, which are the largest members of the dolphin family, where called killer of whales. Then the name transformed into killer whales, leading to people to believe that they belong to the whale family... Well they actually eat whales and sharks as well!

Yes. While there hasn't been a recorded case of wild orcas killing humans (has happened in captivity), it's just the fact they are so intelligent and could make the conscious to do it at any time just because. Just watch how coordinated these guys are at taking out a seal stranded on ice.
