Looks like this is probably going to be on the ballot in Nov.

Hopefully some other blue states can also grab a seat here and there. This will nullify Texas, but not the other little seats gerrymandering gains around the nation.

My guess is that this gets pushed up the the federal Supreme Court, and then the conservative majority manages to rule in the favor of the GQP while somehow simultaneously castrating the Dem efforts.

This specific case can’t be appealed to a federal court. It’s a state law about the state constitution, so the state SC is the end of the line.

To bring this to a federal court they need to show that CA is violating a federal law.

California has already been doing it for decades, why would they stop now under these circumstances? I'd be surprised if they can squeeze out more than a few additional seats though.
