It's easy to blame SDSU. But given all the unforced gaffes made by the Pac-12 in the past few years, it wouldn't be at all surprising if Pac-12 leadership completely miscommunicated how far along they were in the process to SDSU, then some university presidents balked at the thought of being affiliated with SDSU, and Kliavkoff is now scrambling to salvage the deal.
