what's the next piece of music gear you been eyeing?

I've been working on transitioning to Linux for my DAW but I'm fully expecting it to be a slog getting my specific bits (vsts and hardware) to play nicely.

I would like to get an electric drum kit. But don't really have a place to play/store it

what sound card/audio interface are you planning to use?

i could see myself investing in an interface with integrated low-latency mixing capabilities that works with my linux machines

I have a motu ultralite which is perfectly overkill in everyway. I can get some sound from it but it's choppy. I installed some drivers for it from github but it could have easily been a bitcoin miner because I'm just copy pasting into Linux because 🎶I don't know what I'm doing

choppy how? are you sure your settings are correct/sensible for your context?

choppy audio could come from a mismatch between sampling rates of host vs sound card

I'm am sure that settings are not correct. But haven't looked into it too much yet as I'm just playing guitar with Ubuntu in my free time.

I'll look into the sample rate stuff though. Thanks
