Y'all are aware people tend to do the opposite of shut up when you fire them, right?
It sends a message. Now every other professor who discovers something like this will be scared to speak up less they lose their job.
It doesn't matter if the truth is out there. You just keep denying it. Then deflect. Then attack your opponent for a weak position that's difficult for them to defend to distract.
