Building an opulent ballroom while making sure millions will lose their homes, go without healthcare, and starve? This sounds like the last days of the French monarchy.

It's actually just a distraction. The real corruption is the 5 trillion in tax cuts for billionaires and the 1 trillion in healthcare cuts for Medicaid to partially for it. If you're talking millions you're being distracted.

The scary part about the ballroom is that he wouldn't be building it at the WH if he expected to be out of there in 3 years. He'd be building it at Mar-a-Lago or something.

He is planning on never leaving. Or he wouldn't bother. He doesnt do things with foresight unless FOR himself.

We should. It would be less painful to somehow coordinate everyone to DC than it would be to just live these next three and a half years. I dont want to know what we will be by then at this pace.

That's why i crossed "can". I know he can be stopped.

Last time i checked, he's not Invincible ( read it silently, like in the animation opening )

  • will be paid for by Trump and unidentified donors

lol like that fat ass will ever pay for anything with his money.

One of the new episodes of Gumball has the answer to this. I never thought I'd see a kids show so blatantly just say it... EAT. THE. RICH.

I haven't seen any of the episodes in the years. But considering the creator of the show is French. If there ever was going to be one, it would be his lol.

I recommend the new series. It's a bit more adult. It's kind of more grown up just like the kids that watched the original are more grown up so far. I'm 5 episodes in and it's solid. Still retains that same frenetic spirit.

I will have to see if they're upon max or whatever it's called now. I no longer have a cable subscription or any way to watch it like that.

Is it on purpose that your account has the bot tag on? Made me do a double take, when I saw your comment, haha.

1
lemmy.world

Lol. So apparently I had the Bot Account option switched on under my user profile. I don't remember checking it, but apparently that's something you can do

2

I had a feeling it was unintentional! Good that you figured out how to turn it off. I've seen the same thing happen to others, so you're not the only one at least! Haha.

I would think this guy was being so over-the-top cartoonishly evil on purpose just to get us to grow a spine and rise up to overthrow the corrupt government if we were actually growing a spine and rising up to overthrow the government.

It won't happen, under Capitalism, they have a large part of the working class, PMC class, walking on a salary vs debt thin edge, too afraid to change anything because their world would fall apart. It is a devious plan and it works, prevents them from grabbing pitchforks, and often even attacking those that are trying to rise up against the oligarchs.

20

i think that's actually his plan. prove to the blue states that the right to secession and state's rights are valuable. this way he pleases his texan voters.

1
lemmy.world

No, no, no. He and his buddies are going to pay for it! They all just came into an unexpected windfall when a bunch of poors decided they didn't need their healthcare anymore!

21

It's not like they'd get Healthcare if this project wasn't greenlit. It's <$12 per person. He's wasted far more money on things equally as stupid.

4

Noo, Trump. You forgot that your palace seat of government needs to be outside of the city so you can have even more control over the royalty totally democratically elected politicans by making them kiss your rancid rear while being out of their offices. You already have the make-up part & ridiculous hair-do down so well.

19
lemmy.world

You didn't read the article I guess. There is already one at Mar a Lago.

It also says he and donors will pay for it. Does anyone believe that I wonder.

6

Yeah in case you haven’t realised he doesn’t give a fuck about you.

12

I hope it doesn't........

I'd rather see it burn to the ground deliberately.

Serious question about his supporters: Are they cool with this? Like, hey a $200 mio. ballroom at the white house is exactly what I voted for.

10

Who knows. I know there is a rift that has started within MAGA, over the Epstein stuff. I predict there will be no MAGA as it stands by the end of this reign of Trump, siting incidents like these with the ballroom, Zionist, pedos and more to come. Trump isn't worried about anyone, especially this term, as it is with all the presidents as they concentrate on their legacy (ego,) not their constituents, and campaign promises. The working class that voted for him will equally get a wake up call by terms-end, a come to Jesus moment.

Since day 1:

certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

Can't survive, let alone pursue happiness, without healthcare and can't have liberty without either.

mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.

But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government

You are here.

They’re going to find some amazingly gaudy things when the people finally storm the palace in twenty years or so.

Better to get upset about a stupid ballroom than any other, more damning issue in the current news cycle that the current administration might prefer you forgot about...

So, I've been going through making profiles for everybody, starting with Jeffrey Epstein, and generating a new, connected note when I see new information (Obsidian). I'm running with the hypothesis and framework that "The Establishment" is a real criminal enterprise. What I've found seems to be five branches, ranging from finance to intelligence, all interconnected. Two prevalent philosophies beyond greed and power: Christen Zionism and Transhumanism. Basically, it is a big coherent effort by lots of individuals and agencies with like goals. Trump, I call the disruptor. Basically, Trump seems to be so full of himself that he thinks he can take on the system AND be a dictator, from what I've gathered (189 profiles, including individuals, agencies, events, timeline, doctrines)

Can't really agree. If that's the case it's a bribe. If it's not, it's wasted tax dollars. Either way it doesn't look good.

10

Privately funded projects like this still come from exploited surplus value, there aren't any working class folks decking out a ballroom for 200 million. Whether it be directly through taxation or indirectly through capitalist appropriation, it's still coming from the working class.
