only locates my block, not address

As a test I'm looking up directions home from work, but despite entering my address the results only return my block. Is there a setting I have to change? I don't see any relevant settings

Sounds more like a map data issue.

  • does the map have all the data? I.e. is your address (street, number, etc) available?

  • can you navigate to your address when selecting from the map?

I have the map for my state downloaded. If I tap on my house from the map it will give directions, but this issue is for all addresses—any address I search for only returns the block at best.

Works fine for me, so not a general issue. Do you have an example without doxxing yourself?

When you tap you house does it display the address or does it just say 'building'?

If it's the latter then like the other comment said the address is sadly not present in the map data and needs to be added first, you could do that yourself by signing up on openstreetmap.org or with an app like StreetComplete

The map is entirely volunteer made so unfortunately your whole area might not have addresses yet

It does just say building, but before tapping it shows my address (and only my address on my block). I'll get back on streetcomplete and start filling out my area

That probably means your house/addess isn't mapped. You can add it yourself at https://www.openstreetmap.org/. Even if you have the map data downloaded, if it's not in OSM in the first place, CoMaps won't find it. If your house is on OSM, make sure it has a house number set.
