New to PieFed. Completely disillusioned by Reddit. Just wanted to say hey lads. Still trying to figure this platform out. So far, it's a little bit of a struggle.

g'day Kat! It's good to have you! We're mostly a very friendly bunch so I'm sure many people would be happy to help you with any particular questions.

What were some of your favourite subreddits? Maybe we can point you to the most similar Communities on the threadiverse. Bearing in mind that unfortunately it is smaller, so some more niche Communities may not exist or may be very inactive.

I like following local Aussie news, world news, true crime, and I'm big into hip hop and metal music. TV and movies are always good to keep up to date on too.

For Aussie news you want ![email protected], ![email protected], and ![email protected].

For world news, there's ![email protected] for a community based on world news from an explicitly Australian perspective. There's also ![email protected] and ![email protected].

For true crime, it looks like ![email protected] and ![email protected] both exist but are not super active, so you may need to initiate the conversation there a bit more than you would be used to from Reddit.

![email protected] is relatively active, and so is ![email protected]. There are also a few dedicated to subgenres of metal that you can find by doing a "Community" search for "metal".

There are a few TV and movie–related Communities, like ![email protected], ![email protected], and ![email protected]. A few other specific franchises/shows have their own Communities as well.

Lemmy an Piefed are basically old.reddit.com

If you use / used that, it really shouldnt be any different.

I never really used old.reddit. I was more of a 4chan guy back in the day. I'm sure I'll figure it out quickly.

The recommended cooking time on my dimmies in an air fryer is 15 minutes at 200°C

The default settings when you turn the air fryer on is 15 minutes at 200°C

It's like the universe is telling me to have some dimmies. You're the boss, jeebus!

Two different mechanics have had my car for a few weeks between them. The second one for 11 days. He's the one that knows about LPG. He found a cracked plastic inlet manifold that would let air get sucked in causing issues. My issues being that it stops working sometimes. As in driving down the road and it stops working, not a nice feeling.

I drove it from Beenleigh to Redland bay. Driving through Mt Cotton ( Valley Way so most about 3/4 of the journey completed ) and it starts to cease working again. It kinda stopped about 7 times.

I messaged both mechanics. The LPG bloke apologised and said it's probably the "stepper" motor. ( Something to do with the LPG system ) Drop it back and he will fix it. Oh yeah great. I looked it up and it can be a $35 part. Like fuck dude it's in for some intermittent issue, and after getting it back and the intermittent issue persists, why not change that part in the first place !?!?

Jan, I am not happy.

Thursday it is. Wooooo

Got off the ferry yesterday afternoon at about 4:35 to witness a crazy cloud formation, a front one the kind of pic we see on the internet. Just after I got through the front door ten minutes later the heavens opened. Jeepers that was different. I wouldn't have wanted to be out driving in that.
