I'm playing it a bit loose and just keep them in a black drawstring bag next to my sofa bed. There is no real reason to look into that corner of the room anyway and a black bag doesn't really draw any attention to it.
Even when you move out of your parents' place, you still have to play this fucking game with the plumber, cable tech, and possibly landlord if you rent, and continue to hide your shit.
