I got this from a Reddit comment, and unfortunately the official app doesn’t have a way to save images from comments anymore. They want people to share a link instead ;-;

If you’re going to screenshot at least crop? But why not just save the original image and avoid (potentially) recompressing it?
recompressing it makes it good. the worse the quality, the better the shitpost. it's like it has been passed around through the whole internet

You've just taught me we can edit images in posts too, not just titles and text. I guess it's just a link..
Now even the web interface doesn't make it straightforward to save images. "Open image in new tab" and "Save image as" don't work.
Fortunately you can still crop it and edit your post.
I miss the Henry Kissinger rest in piss version.
