The best advice I ever got was to play with your cat for thirty minutes an hour or two before bedtime and then feed it immediately afterward. It feeds into their natural rhythm of hunt/eat/bath/sleep. Ever since I started doing that my cat stopped harassing me in the night.

Thats intresting. Mew (my cat) asks for food at 3am. If i give her somthing to eat she is like " who asked for it. I'm sleeping"

My cat does this to get a few minutes of pets, then she goes lay back down.

I'm awake... and I happen to have a fair number of cat toys that aren't being used regularly.... no need to wake your human....
