• SAO is my favorite anime, SAO movies and games are also my favorite.
• After experiencing SAO every other anime/movie/ game feels so bland and boring Imao.

Not a particularly good one, mind you, but more entertaining than the original.
Well, they had to justify his behavior and I think they accomplished that admirably.
To enjoy other anime after watching SAO I've found the simplest approach is to find something with decent characters. Kaguya-sama: Love is War is up their among my favorites, or if you prefer something action oriented Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is also extremely good.
