They had an AI regurgitate other people's writing, and then had humans massage the vomit into a blog post.
It looks to me like all they accomplished was making the job more dreadful and I‘m afraid the people making these decisions will see that as a partial success.
They absolutely will. AI is great if you drastically lower your standards.
