Aw man, I love RR and the SiB is even better. The EC BP is great and I always grab one when I see it on a shelf.

But, with all that being said, I don’t think there’s a “best” bourbon. Even the EC BP can have a lot of batch variability.

Thanks for the comment. My current picks are EC VA, Old Grand Dad 114, EC Savannah, EC Rowdy Chapel Hill, RR SiB.

I would love to know some of your favorite picks (factoring price).

I would just like to learn what people think are better. I’m already overly satisfied with EC VA and OGD 114. Btw EC VA is really easy to find.

Haven’t had the OGD 114 in years. I always loved the 100 for mixing but I don’t think they sell it in the 1.75L any more.

If we’re talking price, EW SiB was hands down the best value imo, but I think it’s like a distillery exclusive now?

4 Roses SiB is always a solid grab at the price point. I’d probably have other picks above it, but the availability factor makes it a reliable pick

Eagle Rare, another one that punches above its price point. This was easy to find until around 2020.

If we’re looking over $50, KC 12 is pretty great. As are some of the Old Forester picks, but I can’t keep track of which number is which lol.

Then there are picks I love but aren’t accessible/never on shelves.

Is there a better bottle than Elijah Craig SiB (private barrel VA)? | Spyke
