Rocket Man Icarus flew too close to the sun on this one. Elon thought he had a lot more pull than he did, but the invisible hand of the market was happy to fist him a friendly reminder of who's really in charge here. Musks power is his money and his money is his stock price; without it he is less than nothing.

He doesn't control most of the world's wealth though. There are families with generational wealth that makes musk look poor.

himselfthe executive branchJust Nationalizing his companies without compensation would do it. Most of musk's wealth is in his companies and he just takes out loans using shares as collateral.
Normally eminent domain requires fair compensation, however Musk has committed so much fraud you could argue that the government has in fact already compensated him.
Couldn't it also be done as civil asset forfeiture?
