Excellent news. I recently visited Kochi (by train of course). It has a new elevated metro, which is valuable progress but a bit of an overkill for many journeys, especially given the silly airport security at each station. Like every other Indian city, Kochi desperately needs to move up the value ladder from bus transport. Trams are a great first step.
