Still not a great company these days, but at least it's back in Canadian hands again.

They lost me when I wanted to buy barefoot shoes they had on the shelf and the guy was mocking me. Then a second person from staff mocked me as well when she overheard. I just left and never stepped inside one of their stores again.

That's bullshit behaviour by staff. When was that? I haven't really liked going in there for the last few years.

Hm not sure. Maybe 10 years ago? They were still a coop at that time. I had already picked the shoes and just wanted to try them on to make sure they fit. They lost a guaranteed sale that day. I tried them on there and bought them elsewhere online. And never returned.

That sucks. I've always wanted to try them but never got a pair since I've heard they're not great on concrete and I unfortunately still live in the city.

Did you ever end up buying some?

Oh yeah I have several. I love them. Even in the city.

Ah, then I'll have to look up some city-focused reviews and see if they might be right for me. Thanks for the response.

Take off that flag you fuckers have draped yourselves in.

MEC is dead, and I will never set foot in one again.
