I booked with a bicycle on Hiawatha last weekend and Amtrak called me two hours before departure to tell me that they were cancelling the bicycle reservation. When I went down to MKE intermodal to see what they could do for me, they told me they'd honor the reservation. :)

Man, that sucks! Talk about a logistics nightmare!
Hopefully the venture cars come sooner rather than later.. the tweet saying that they are “many months away” doesnt really inspire confidence though.
I feel like every time i take the hiawatha there are always a couple bicyclists waiting for the train.
