Don't, do this instead to fuck up their data and actively harm reddit's value when they go public.

There have been some reports that Reddit is restoring deleted comments, so it's recommended that people overwrite their comments instead of deleting them.
When you use delete apps like powerdeletesuite or shreddit they cannot delete comments from private subs because they're hidden. So when those subs come back to normal mode, so will your comments. So all those people that used apps like that while the blackout is going on will have their comments appear again as subs reopen. Not saying reddit isn't also bringing comments back, (I wouldn't put it past them tbh) but a lot of it is just because of subs being private and the comments getting missed by the apps.
I rewrote and deleted them, but I'm going to hold off on deleting the account for that reason and check back.

I just edited all my comments and submissions older than 30 days to fuck /u/spez and pointing people to come over to Lemmy
On the 30th I'm gonna do with all my comments and delete my account later

Includes a fix for rate limiting. Will be slower but won't miss every third comment.
Pardon my ignorance/laziness but I assume an archive exists? There is a wealth of knowledge there.
I liked Power Delete Suite for Reddit in the article, and used it to export a backup. Filed a GDPR request too.
As someone who tends to be almost too honest, to the point of it being a problem, I bet if you browsed my reddit comments, you could find exactly who I was just based on the vague details all added up. It's just kinda fkd up that I can't control what is left up for the future.
I want to leave my experience for others, as a trail of breadcrumbs for the advancement of mankind, but with so many malicious people, I am wary, and trying to be more mindfull of what I share.
I started going through and deleting certain comments, and leaving ones I find may be helpful in some vague way.
The issue I have with this is I've been banned from reddit. And power suit doesn't seem to work for me. Anyone else facing similar issue?
Please don't do this.
You can't achieve anything by being reckless & self-centred (Like how old are you, you can't process your trauma) all that will accomplish is more censorship on the internet aka more Repression/Suppression/Regression/Chaos/Divide/Disorder those are all variables that bring the worst out of people.
While they may lose content creators, the data can be used to build upon in the future for index/reference purposes.
It's NOT about selfishness! It's about privacy, your rights on your own words and data capitalism.
Leaving your data on Reddit gives money to Reddit. Delete everything, scorched earth policy.
