Government gains early election trigger as Senate rejects housing bill
Yeah good job Greens, political point scoring over actually doing something. Passing it was not admiting defeat but getting atleast something in place. Now we need to wait till Oct to see anything done.

Labor want to gamble some money on the stock market and call it money for housing. The Greens want to actually spend that money on housing.
Labor's usual tactic of packaging up a lukewarm dribble of piss and calling it major reform hasn't worked this time, and they're all shocked-pikachu about it.
"Actually doing something" only counts if it actually achieves something. Which this wouldn't.
Put some major money and some major political will towards addressing the housing crisis today, or stop pretending to give a shit.
Luckily Labor don't have the absolute majority required to pass shitty legislation
