yyads replylemmy.worldThat's a good point actually. I guess the timing with the pandemic and Onex purchase was pretty close.1
HHobbitFoot thelemmy.clubThat they should get passports so they can fly to the USA for cheaper air fare?7
gifferqqq kbin.socialIt's a bit of a shame. Flying with Swoop was a gamble but most of my flights worked out and it was usually amazingly cheap. I was hoping there was going to be a boom of discount airlines in Canada but it's going the opposite way now.4
SR.Gray replycansoccer.social@zephyreks @grte If by well, you mean earning the Worst Airline in customer complaints ( https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/flair-worst-airline-complaints-1.6863897 ), having jets confiscated ( https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/flair-airlines-plane-seizures-1.6776186 ), nearly having its license revoked ( https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton/flair-airlines-cta-ruling-1.6473784 ), and losing its ground crews ( https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa/sunwing-flair-ottawa-airport-baggage-contract-1.6779457 )... Then yes, they seem to be doing just fine. I think it's only a matter of time before Westjet absorbs them too.2
