Welcome to the 24 hour pledge! Iâm pledging myself to not drinking today, and invite you to do the same.
Maybe youâre new to c/stop drinking and have a hard time deciding what to do next. Maybe youâre like me and feel you need a daily commitment or maybe youâve been sober for a long time and want to inspire others.
It doesnât matter if youâre still hung over from a three day bender or been sober for years, if you just woke up or have already completed a sober day. For the next 24 hours, letâs not drink alcohol!

And I'll try to check in here more often. I'm on the stopdrinking subreddit a fair amount, it was crucial to me making it as long as I have and it's the main reason I still use reddit. But, I need to remember to help foster this community too

Iâm really struggling, but Iâm hoping tonight I can have a California sober day. I didnât stop and get beer on the way home from work, Iâve stopped myself from putting in a delivery order twice. The craving is unbearable.

How early can you go to bed? I found that there was nothing like being under the duvet in my pyjamas with my teeth cleaned for stopping a booze run.
