I've seen people say that this empowers women while ignoring that the Trump admin is literally deleting mentions of women from NASA.

Very empowered by paying billions to a dude for a trip where they made zero further plans or even a statement

I am under the impression she didn’t pay anything for it, maybe I’m wrong though.

In that framing though, I see it as: LOOK GIRLIES, when you’re rich you don’t need to spend your money 😇 MONEY IS POWER, GIRLIES MONEY MONEY MONEY MONEY GIRLIES MONEY

Unexpectedly, I first heard about it from the local radio station lady absolutely dunking on them. No ads, no traffic updates, just 5 solid minutes of, "did you hear about this stupid thing?"

Loved it.

Step 1: Send a couple of women celebrities to high Earth orbit as a publicity stunt while systematically purging records of actual women astronauts off of NASA websites because you think it is DEI. Step 2: ??? Step 3: Profit

Everytime I see her all I think about is how she sexualy assaulted justin bieber. She gives me rapists vibes and that smile on the space picture does not help.

I know the song, but can you tell me more about this? Genuinely want to know the details.

there was a ton of biphobia in the song (she admitted it later) whereas jill's version was more of an ernest look at fluidity and exploring your sexuality.

katy claimed that it was because it was "10 years ago and ppl didn't really talk about bisexuality then" nevermind the fact that like the ENTIRETY of glam rock existed in the 90s and jill sobule literally made the song she was covering about bixsexuality.

Just reread the lyrics there, how is it biphobic? Genuinely asking.

The part which I thought could be interpreted as that is the "hope my boyfriend don't mind it", which I saw more as a cheating thing.

If my girlfriend had not tell me about this absurd situation, I wouldn't have know who she is.
