Not the game dev. I know the title says Balatro publisher and not Balatro dev but… I'll admit that's where my brain went anyways till I read the article, and I can imagine people who don't know much about the game thinking the dev and publisher are one and the same, so

i was making a comment it's weird to expect the balatro people to be who shells out when really we have a deeply rooted societal issue where all of our funding goes to big studios and mega corporations. our banks and governments prefer doing business with big business. then someone comes along and makes something that people really connect with and enjoy, and they use that platform to say we should fund small creative endeavors, and then someone's first response is to be "why don't you do that?"
