conflating north korean with japanese culture, very cool

-27

It's almost like Korea and Japan (and China) were neighbors for their whole existence and influenced each other's clothes.

Hanboks and kimonos are very similar.

I can't find any feature here that I could actually say distinguishes this modern take on Asian clothes as definitively Japanese or Korean.

That is literally the outfit of DPRK's famous news anchor. Look up "North Korea broadcast news" and you will see pictures of her.

Edit: her name is Ri Chun-hee and the outfit is a chima jeogori, a type of hanbok. Source: BBC & Wikipedia

in my defense, i did search for korean clothes, because i remembered they look different usually, and still now, searching for the specific word, i still see a different style
