Even if Trump is a Russian asset, which may well be true, but at this point is speculation—do you think he'd make for a good asset? The guy is not that clever generally but he always looks out for himself.

I think Trump essentially wants to be admired by the world at large just as much as by his "peers" Putin/Erdogan/Xi/Kim. Just to illustrate that there are most likely multiple motivations involved here, and possibly being a Russian asset can't explain all of Trump's behavior.

Actually, he’d probably be a great asset: easily manipulated, not smart enough to realize it, not likely to try and escape. With President Musk handling him, it seems he’d be just about the best asset.

Pretending to be 'pissed off' to distract the public from his pro-Russian stance neither hampers Russia's military campaign nor brings back lost Ukrainian lives.

Exactly.

Words are cheap. What he does is as basically always the dumbest, most destructive thing he can do in that area.

Kind of. A lot of countries in Europe agreed on a max price they were willing to pay for Russian oil.

It aligns with Trumps well thought out strategy of saying and doing unpredictable random shit.
