Post Shave: Catie's Bubbles - DFTR Aftershave splash
Post Shave: Stirling - Glacial Unscented Aftershave balm
Fragrance: Spearhead Shaving Company - Leather EdT
We're doing a passaround of this S1 silvertip brush. It got to me yesterday morning after I'd shaved, so this is my first go. All I can say is damn, this thing is just about perfect. The knot has ridiculously soft tips, basically perfect density (not too much, not too little), and produced an excellent lather.
This was also my first shave with Elysian "Green Fig" (smush graciously provided by u/socialkittielynx), which was also lovely. Not overly sweet, with a pleasant green woody brightness that felt perfect for a stormy spring morning. The base was also dead simple to lather, taking as much water as I wanted to give it. I'll probably pick up a tub of Elysian at some point, very impressed. It combined really well with DFTR.
I ordered a RazoRock "GOAT" which should arrive tomorrow. It's based on the "German 34", which from what I can tell is just a way of saying "Merkur 34". I can't find the full history or the 34 series razors, but either way I figured it was a good time to shave with the Merkur 34C. Once I get the RazoRock version I'll compare the two a bit before sending them off on a pass-around.
Had nothing else to do so I figured I might as well take a nice slow relaxed shave.
Did better than expected, just one weeper on the head and a bit of redness around the goatee. I went back to partial beards since minoxidil wasn't working after 2 months, if anything it made things worse.
Hope everyone has/had a nice Sunday.

MARCH MADNESS 2025 DAY 30
It was 78° F yesterday. Today’s wind chill is 26° F. Had to use something to feel warm. Typical Midwest temperamental weather.
Man, same story with the weather here in New England. Must have been a big cold front.

I'm giddy about the nearing Moarteen delivery, so I used my Sparschweinchen today. Such a nice big razor.
Reserve Classic and Swiss Pitralon for a stanky evening shave.
