Dresses where for men, think about it, men needed free flowing garments, and "pants" where womens undergarments to keep wander eyes, hands and other things away.
So really wearing a pink and purple dress flying free is really just going to the root of manliness.

Pink used to be the boys colour and blue was girls. It shifted in Western society before and around WW1.
