I'm OP and new to Lemmy. I can see this comment only from within my inbox. when I go to the post I made, I can see that there is a single comment, but I can't view it there. I'm confused how this works
[edit: fixed] in user settings the language selection is a multi-select list and I had deselected English somehow. now I have undetermined AND English and I see all these comments now

Yeah I'm sorry I don't know either. We're on the same instance so it's not a federation thing. Maybe it's a language setting thing?
