A similar analysis shows that 71% of the EU's imports of natural gas came from Norway (27%), the United States (19%), Algeria (14%) and Russia (11%), while the biggest solid fossil fuel (mostly coal) imports originated from Australia (24%), followed by the United States (23%), Colombia (17%) and South Africa (13%).
