Jumping spiders are easily the cutest Arthropods out there. They are super intelligent and exhibit object permanence.

I once startled a Bold Jumping Spider while doing garden work. It hid behind a plank of wood - and peaked out once in a while to check if I'm still there

That's fascinating. Knowing me I'd probably spend extra time in the garden just observing the little critter. Like dammit he's got me invested now! Lol

They don't look sharp. That's actually pretty fascinating, the variety of claws and hooks to use for webs and such.

In case anyone is curious, most of these appear to be the tarantula Avicularia avicularia. Common name is, appropriately, the pinktoe tarantula.
